Psychologists note with alarm: about half of our compatriots, regardless of their social status and material wealth, according to surveys, regularly experience stress and need psychological relief and relaxation. Actually, we should not expect anything different from our time, with its ultrafast rhythm of life and deteriorating ecology.

In search of physical and mental health, many go to yoga tours, which recently began to organize tour operators around the world. After all, yoga for several millennia holds the palm among various systems of healing.

What are yoga tours?
Tour operators most often offer tours that combine relaxation, including beach, with active yoga practice. Typically, tourists are offered non-standard travel routes that provide an opportunity to peacefully calm down and escape from everyday hardships. For beginners and unfamiliar with the basics of yoga, tourists are usually offered well-known resorts, which operate yoga centers and have experienced specialists. These are primarily the resorts of the Mediterranean and the Black Sea, the Egyptian resorts of the Red Sea, the more expensive price sector – the Maldives, Indonesia (including the island of Bali), South America, Japan.

The next level is for those with practical experience in yoga from one to five years. For them, trips are organized on non-traditional (for the bulk of tourists) routes to India, Sri Lanka, the islands of Thailand, China and other Asian countries. The level of service on such routes is much lower than on traditional destinations, but there is an opportunity to visit truly amazing, exotic places, to admire little-known architectural and natural monuments.

For those who have been practicing yoga for a long time, mountain routes are offered to the remote areas of the Himalayas, Tibet, Altai, Tien Shan and other inaccessible and sparsely populated places. At the same time, service on such routes is usually minimal, but in return tourists get the opportunity to completely distance themselves from their everyday experiences, external conflicts in unusual conditions of the highlands, against the backdrop of amazingly beautiful landscapes. Tourists usually lead a Spartan lifestyle on such trips, they are accommodated in high-altitude guesthouses (campsites) or simply in tents. Food is most often cooked on bonfires or using gas burners. The lack of comfort is more than compensated by clean air, silence and unforgettable impressions of doing yoga on the background of majestic peaks and mountain passes.

Who are yoga tours for?
There are no special restrictions on yoga for health reasons or age, with the exception of serious hereditary diseases. And about any sudden ailment you can always inform the trainer even before the start of practice.

Both children from the age of six, and adults in the most advanced years, can practice yoga. Yoga tours, by the way, are quite popular among married (and not only married) couples, while often only one of the couple is engaged in yoga, the second participant of the trip can have fun or improve their health at his discretion during his classes.

How do yoga classes for tourists?
The trainers tell the participants of the tours about yoga, about the technique of performing the exercises, about personal experience and the results of healing, they will certainly familiarize themselves with safety techniques. Group members learn step-by-step breathing, the art of relaxation (relaxation).

The program of a standard yoga tour includes, as a rule, two daily practical classes, twice for two hours, before breakfast and in the evening, before bedtime, plus one theoretical lesson. All practice is designed in such a way as to enable tourists to spend as much time as possible outdoors (by the sea, in the mountains or in the forest). The schedule is not fixed and can be changed at the request of group members. The main thing that the organizers of such tours strive for is to ensure the maximum mental comfort of their clients, to protect them from stress, conflict and any kind of nervous and mental stress.
